Lady Rebels wallop Wahama in four

MERCERVILLE, Ohio — What a way to bounce back.

After dropping the first game 25-23 to Wahama, the South Gallia Volleyball team won the next three games 25-8, 25-9 and 25-4 to take the Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division victory.

Lady Rebels senior Meghan Caldwell led the way with 15 points on the night, followed by Balile Corbins with 14 points. Ellie Bostic and Brynn Adams had 13 points apiece, while Shelby Sanders had eight, Alicia Hornsby had five and Sara Bailey had two points to round out the SGHS scoring.

Bostic led South Gallia in kills with 16 on the night, followed by Caldwell with 12 and Brynn Adams with seven. Corbin, Sanders and Bailey each finished with one kill each. Bostic had three blocks, while Caldwell finished with one. Corbin led South Gallia with four aces followed by Bostic and Hornsby with two apiece. Sanders finished with one ace.
