CROWN CITY — Between June 15 and 22, a set of 12-inch speakers with blue lights were reportedly stolen from the property of Justin Little, Crown City.

VINTON — On June 22, a PlayStation II game system, red and black air compressor with two tanks, two BLK two blade knives, and miscellaneous personal papers were reportedly stolen from the residence of Wendy Kanouse, Vinton.

GALLIPOLIS — A nine millimeter high points semi-automatic pistol was reportedly stolen from the residence of Derek Gilbert, Gallipolis, between June 22 and 23.

VINTON — A wicker basket, Craftsman tool box with tools, and a box of CDs and DVDs were reportedly stolen from the property of Tevin K. Harden, Vinton, between June 22 and 24.

GALLIPOLIS — On June 24, a dryer, four boat motors, two 42-inch Craftsmen mower decks, and five cast iron skillets were reportedly stolen from the property of Stephen Chapman, Gallipolis.

GALLIPOLIS — Sometime between June 24 and 25, a Razr cell phone and a Tom Tom GPS was reportedly stolen from the property of Johnny D. Lewtor, Gallipolis.

CROWN CITY — A Shadawa reel, Abbott and Garcia rod and reel, Quantam reel, Craftsmen 125-piece socket set, carpentry belt with tools, and Makita half-inch drill were reportedly stolen from the property of William McGuire, Crown City, between June 10 and 24.

CHESHIRE — On June 27, a Crown Royal bag containing miscellaneous gold and silver coins and a lady’s gold wedding band were reportedly stolen from the residence of Betty Kalinowski, Cheshire.

GALLIPOLIS — On June 28, a Fujifilm Fine Pix camera, an HP photosmart and laptop, and a jewelry box containing miscellaneous jewelry were reportedly stolen from the residence of Jillian Massie, Gallipolis.

GALLIPOLIS — A jewelry box containing miscellaneous jewelry, a silver Zippo lighter inscribed with Bosworth, three bottles of liquor, a .22 caliber rifle and two silver statues were reportedly stolen from the residence of Edith Dotson, 49,Gallipolis, between June 24 and 29.

ADDISON — Two full five gallon gas cans were reportedly stolen from a shed at Addison Freewill Baptist Church between June 29 and 30.

CHESHIRE — On June 30, five CDs and two boxes of .22 caliber ammunition were reportedly stolen from the property of James Hockman, Cheshire.

PATRIOT — A 37-inch LCD television, a diamond and pearl gold bracelet, a silver bracelet, a gold necklace with dolphin pendant and topaz gem, a silver Fossil watch, a gold Fossil watch, a GE 19-inch television, 15 DVDs, a women’s class ring with the initials AJS, a silver rope bracelet, and four CDs were reportedly stolen from the residence of April Nungester, Patriot, on June 30.

GALLIPOLIS — On July 1, a PlayStation III game console, a 32-inch Emerson LCD HD-TV, two PlayStation II controllers, one PlayStation III controller, 11 PlayStation games, and a Guitar Hero 3 controller were reportedly stolen from the residence of Lisa D. Brown and Samuel A Giles, both of Gallipolis.

Highway Patrol

BIDWELL — Matthew C. Taylor, 23, and Amanda G. Dotson, 24, both of Bidwell, were transported by Gallia County EMS to the Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room with non-incapacitating injuries following a one-vehicle accident that occurred June 27 at approximately 12:50 p.m. in Bidwell.

According to troopers, Taylor was driving Dotson’s 1989 Chevy Astro van southbound on Church Street, just south of Ohio 554, when he drove off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, and the van rolled over onto its side on the left side of the roadway and into the edge of a field.

Three children under the age of 5 that were riding in the van were reportedly not injured. The van sustained disabling damages and Taylor was cited with failure to control.

BIDWELL — Vicky S. Wilcox, 40, Bidwell, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle accident that occurred June 29 at approximately 12:40 p.m. in Morgan Township.

According to troopers, Wilcox was driving her 1995 Ford Taurus westbound on Ohio 554 behind Martha A. Leininger, 61, Bidwell, who was also traveling westbound in her 2007 Ford Focus.

Leininger reportedly slowed for an Ohio Department of Transportation mowing crew near mile post 9 when the vehicle Wilcox was driving struck her vehicle in the rear.

Both vehicles sustained non-functional damages.

GALLIPOLIS — Kimball L. Clark, 52, Gallipolis, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle accident that occurred around 4:52 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to troopers, Dale R. Fife, 74, Gallipolis, was stopped in the northbound lane of Ohio 7 preparing to turn left into a private drive in his 1999 Pontiac Bonneville when Clark failed to maintain an assured clear distance while driving northbound on Ohio 7 in his 1999 Dodge Intrepid and his vehicle struck Fife’s vehicle in the rear.

Fife reported non-incapacitating injuries following the accident, but sought no treatment at the scene; his vehicle sustained functional damages. Clark’s vehicle sustained non-functional damages.
