The Nina and Pinta landed Wednesday afternoon at the Gallipolis riverfront area to start a 5-day layover in the Old French City. The replicas of two of the three ships used by Christopher Columbus on his voyage to the New World in 1492 will be open to the public for tours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Admission is $7.00 for adults, $6.00 for senior citizens and $5.00 for students. Children age 4 and younger will be admitted free. No reservations are necessary. The ships are owned by the Columbus Foundation, Inc., based in the British Virgin Islands, and are used as educational tools.
