POMEROY — A former Pomeroy woman facing an April jury trial appeared for a bond hearing Monday, on charges she killed two in an accident while she was under the influence of drugs.

Brandi Hill, 26, also known as Brandi Hicks, is scheduled to face a jury in April on charges she was driving while high on cocaine, resulting in an auto accident on Ohio 143 that killed two, including a passenger in her own SUV.

Since her indictment last year on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, posession of cocaine and two counts of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of cocaine, Hill has been in custody of the Ohio Department of Corrections on charges from another county unrelated to the April, 2009 double fatality.

Hill has retained Charles Knight of Pomeroy as her attorney. She was recently released from custody, and appeared before Judge Fred W. Crow III Monday. She was released on a personal recognizance bond of $1,000. A $25,000 appearance bond and $10,000 surety bond were also ordered.

A pre-trial hearing on a motion to supress evidence was continued until March 29, allowing Knight to review doments in the case.

Robert W. Harrison II, 40, Pomeroy, and Stephanie J. English, 38, Middleport, were killed on April 26, 2009, in an auto accident on Ohio 143. English was a passenger in an SUV officials later determined Hill was driving.

Hill allegedly struck two vehicles waiting to make left-hand turns, then went left of center into the path of Harrison’s truck. The truck burst into flames on impact. with Harrison trapped inside.

Others were injured, an adult and two juveniles. Hill herself was flown to Huntington, W.Va. for injuries she sustained.

A specification in the charge of possession of cocaine indicates Hill was in possession of less than five grams of cocaine, but had a concentration of the drug in her blood and urine at the time of the four-vehicle crash.

Hill was scheduled to appear in Crow’s court on March 10, but was not present.

She shouldn't be on the streets, she has a rapp sheet a mile long and keeps getting out of everything! Our family needs everyone's help in this community to get her put behind bars so she doesn't hurt another person!! Go to Meigs county municipal court and type in her name, you won't beleive all of the drug charges she has gotten out of, no jail time, and hardly any charges, this is public record!!!! We don't know what to do!! My brother is dead, I guess he has no rights!!!!???????
