Katherine Berta will be the featured poet at the March presentation of the Athens Poetry Group, to be held from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Monday, March 25, 2013, at Conference Room C in the Athens Community Center, 701 E. State St., Athens, OH. Free and Open to the Public. Katherine Berta earned her MFA in poetry from Arizona State University. She currently is working toward her PhD at Ohio University. Her work has been published in Forklift, Ohio; Word Riot; Bluestem Review; 2 River View and elsewhere. Katie is a returning Ohio native. In addition to the featured presentations, there will be an “open mic” offered to all those in the audience who have their own poetry to share.
