Charles Donald Reitmire, Sr., 75, of Pomeroy, Ohio, passed away on December 26, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital after an extended illness at the Rocksprings Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pomeroy. Charles was born in Mason, W.Va., on December 11, 1937, to the late Claude and Goldie (Moore) Retmire. Mr. Reitmire served in the United States Army for three years and worked as an engineer for Bosworth Towing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and several brothers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Nancy Reitmire; children, Lois (Jerry) Milam of Fairmount, W.Va., Charles “Chuck” Reitmire, Jr., and Gwen Reitmire of Pomeroy, Jerry Reitmire of Pomeroy, Todd (Kim) Reitmire of Pomeroy, Steve (Atisha) Reitmire of Pomeroy, April (Randy) Mills of Pomeroy, and Gary Reitmire of Pomeroy; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Pastor James R. Acree officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocksprings Cemetery in Pomeroy. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012, the funeral home.

He will be greatly missed and may her rest in peace.
