POMEROY — When you enter a money machine, whatever you catch is what you get to keep.
For Meigs High School Vice Principal Rick Blaettnar who entered the Peoples Bank money machine at Tuesday night’s basketball game between Meigs and Jackson, that turned out to be $501. That amount was donated by Peoples Bank to the Meigs prom committee.
The money machine was used as a part of the Peoples Bank Night activities, which also included distributing 25 T-shirts decorated with the bank’s logo. The T-shirts were thrown out at random by the cheerleaders and basketball players during the evening.
Scott Walker, southeast region manager for Peoples Bank, and Tina Rees, Pomeroy branch manager, handled the activities of Peoples Bank Night. Walker’s daughter, Alli, sang the National Anthem.
