This letter is in response to a letter to the editor in The Daily Sentinel dated Friday, Oct. 30, 2009,
The letter stated that the writer had talked to a fifth grade student about her science project. The letter went on to state that when asked to see her book, the student responded that she did not have one and had to share with other students.
We would like to take this opportunity to reassure parents and Meigs Local School District taxpayers that all fifth grade students have science books. They also all have the other textbooks they need for their classes.
We work hard for our students, ensuring that students have everything they need for science activities and experiments.
