Farmers Bank in Tuppers Plains robbed

TUPPERS PLAINS — Officers with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene of an armed robbery at the Farmers Bank branch in Tuppers Plains.

According to reports, the crime occurred just before 4 p.m. on Thursday.

A male suspect dressed in all black reportedly fled the scene.

A statement on the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page reads,

Units are responding to a report of an armed robbery at the Farmers Bank in Tuppers Plains. The male subject was dressed in all black and fled from the scene. We are asking people to avoid the area until a perimeter can be set up. Stayed tuned to this page for more information.
