Defenders win OCSAA State Championship

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Ohio Valley Christian boys basketball team earned their first Ohio Christian School Athletic Association State Championship on Saturday evening, as the Defenders defeated Dayton Temple Christian 49-28 in the championship game at Ohio Christian University’s Maxwell Center. The Defenders — who have made the final four in five of the last six years — finish the season with a 21-6 overall record. A complete recap of Ohio Valley Christian’s state final victory will be in Tuesday’s edition of the Gallipolis Daily Tribune.
