OAK HILL, Ohio — The Gallia Academy girls track and field team won the Oak Hill Invitational, on Tuesday night in Jackson County, while the GAHS boys team claimed third.
The Blue Angels scored 109 to take first place, while Wheelersburg was second with 95 and Jackson was third with 92. A total of 11 teams scored in the girls competition.
The GAHS 4x400m relay team of Mary Watts, Hailey Deem, Erin Lincoln and Madi Oiler claimed first place with a time of 4:25.41, while the 4x200m relay team of Abby Cremeans, Ashton Webb, Grace Martin and Lincoln was second with a time of 1:58.46.
Oiler led the Blue Angels individually, placing first in the 200m dash (27.75), second in the 100m hurdles (16.79) and second in the 300m hurdles (46.33). Watts won the 1600m run (5:35.2) and took third in the 800m run (2:39.34), Lincoln placed second in the 400m dash (1:05.48), while Jamie Canfield finished third in the 100m hurdles (18.37).
Minford placed first of the 12 teams in the boys competition, scoring 152.5. Jackson was second with 99, while Gallia Academy finished third with 85.
The Blue Devils 4x800m relay quartet of Caleb Greenlee, Kyle Greenlee, Kaleb Crisenbery and Isaiah Lester won with a time of 8:44.78, while the 4x400m relay team of Dylan Nunn, Zac Bokal, Crisenbery and Lester was second with a time of 3:43.76.
Lester won the 400m dash with a time of 53.66, Crisenbery was second in the 800m run (2:07.37) and third in the high jump (6-00), while pole vaulters Kyle Greenlee (10-00) and Oliver Davis (9-6) placed second and third respectively.
