POMEROY – This being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, one family feeling that they had much to celebrate honored Cyndie Rodriguez, a two-time cancer survivor currently under treatment for lung cancer, with a surprise party.
The gathering for Rodriguez, an employee of Farmers Bank in Pomeroy, was held at the home of Pam and Rick Patterson. Those at the party wore “Fight Like a Girl” t-shirts. They also gave Rodriguez one to wear, and presented her with a necklace and bracelet along with a framed picture of her daughters, Cassie Patterson, Alex Patterson, Chelsea Patterson, Ahna Patterson and Cyndie Gillilan.
At the conclusion of the party, there was a balloon launch in her honor.
