Charlotte Mae Erlewine, 78, of Langsville, Ohio, left her family and friends Feb. 10, 2009 from Holzer Senior Care in Bidwell, Ohio.
She was born Jan. 15, 1931 in Pt. Pleasant,W.Va., the daughter of the lateWarren and Charlotte Swisher Miller. She was homemaker, a long time member of Star Grange 778, a member of Salem Center Firebelles, attended Cornerstone Gospel Church, an avid reader, loved animals, enjoyed feeding and watching birds.
She is survived by sons Harold Jr. (Regina) Erlewine, Gary (Sheila) Erlewine both of Langsville; a daughter Dinah Stewart and Frank Herald of Middleport; six grandchildren Jenny (Paul) Deering, Cindi (Ron) Lucas, Jon Stewart, Dustin (Jamie) Erlewine, Melissa Erlewine and Devin Erlewine; seven great-grandchildren Chase, Sarah, Nathan and Matthew Deering, Janey Lucas, Peyton Erlewine and Emmalie Erlewine; brothers Warren (Patty) Miller of Pt. Pleasant, and James Miller of Middleport; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband whom she married July 3, 1948, Harold F. Erlewine (died 1976); and a daughter Regina Francis Erlewine, sisters Martha McDaniel and Gilda Baur, brothers John and Jack Miller.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
