Meigs blast Golden Rockets at Fairgreens

WELLSTON, Ohio — Four rounds in the 40’s earn the Marauders a 185-201 win over Wellston Monday night at Fairgreens Golf Course. The match was played in a play six, count four format and it was a Tri-Valley Conference Ohio Division contest.

Treay McKinney and Chris Folmer both shot rounds of 45 to lead MHS.Gage Gilkey recorded a 47 and David Davis recorded a 48 to round out the Meigs scoring. Derik Hill and Taylor Rowe both played but their scores did not count toward the MHS total.

Wellston’s Lane Bunnell was match medalist with a round of 38. Following Bunnell for the Golden Rockets were Hunter Riepenhoff with a 48, Coy Hanson with a 55 and Dakota Riegal with a 60. Caleb Stanley and Kid Lemaster both played but their scores did not count toward the WHS total.
