COLUMBUS — In a conversation with Tim Stried, director of information services for the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) late Thursday afternoon, Stried informed The Daily Sentinel that the forfeits enforced against Eastern High School would be reversed.
Stried stated that Commissioner Dr. Daniel Ross said additional information submitted on Thursday afternoon caused the student-athlete to be retrospectively eligible.
The reinstatement of wins makes the Eagles 6-3 prior to this week’s contest against Southern.
The OHSAA has indicated that further information will be made available to The Daily Sentinel on Friday. Check our website at www.mydailysentinel.com for updates to this and other local news stories.
