Escorted by the Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood, the Eastern Lady Eagles basketball team left the school on Thursday morning. Their destination — the OHSAA Division IV Final Four. The Lady Eagles will face Berlin Hiland at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, in the first state semi-final game. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Ottoville-Fort Loramie game at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday for the state title. This is the first appearance in the state tournament for the Lady Eagles basketball team.
