Jack E. Follrod, 68, peacefully left this world on May 1, 2009, at his residence at 112 Pleasant Ridge, Pomeroy, after a lengthy illness.

He was born June 11, 1940, the eldest child of E.E. and Philomena Killinger Follrod, who both preceded him in death.

Jack was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a long-time member of the Pomeroy Fire Department and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club, as well as an enthusiastic NASCAR racing fan and an avid bowler.

He leaves behind a daughter, Kimberly Follrod and her friend Stacey Shank; two sisters, JoEllen (Donald) Roush and Emma Kay (Terry) Faulks; two brothers, Phillip and Dan Follrod; two nephews, Darin Roush and David Follrod and a niece, Gina Follrod.

He is also survived by his devoted companion, Rosemary Werry; two children of the heart, Chip (Catina) Werry and Jenni (Shawn) Durst; grandchildren of the heart: Brittany and Nicholas Durst, Kaylee Werry, and Mackenzie and Jacob Sellers; and special friends: Abe Grueser, Chuck Hannahs and Sue Hager.

Interment service under the direction of Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home will be held at the convenience of the family at Meigs Memory Gardens with Rev. Father Walter Heinz officiating.
