She was born October 7, 1923, the daughter of the late Thurman and Laura Hill Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Garnet Potts, Myrtle Imboden, Mary Cox, Hilda Martin and Shirley Martin; brother, Thurman Jr.; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dana B. Winebrenner; sons, Robert (Julie) Winebrener and Mick (Cindy) Winebrenner; daughters, Patty Winebrenner, Suzanne (Larry) Farrar, Ruth (Sam) Shain and Sandy (Gary) Hysell; 11 grandchildren, Bob (Heather) Winebrenner, Becky (Todd) Morehart, Tim (Ashley) Winebrenner, Shelly (Dave) Barr, Dawn (Jeff) Bennett, Kayla (Jared) Farrar, Emily (Jeff) Miller, Samuel (Danielle) Shain, Matthew (Whitney) Shain, Amy (Josh) Wilson and Brittany (Dakota) Hysell; 19 great grandchildren, Amanda, Megan, Brooke, Lynsey, Mya, Mariah, Cali, Anna, Leah, Katie, MacKenzie, Matthew, Austen, Derek, Lexi, Damien, Shayla, Dalton and Joshua; 5 sisters, Anna Roush, Elma Imboden, Ora Bass, Betty Wicks and Margaret Cline; brother-in-law, Bill Winebrenner; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
We will be saying our last goodbyes at a viewing on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy from 6-8 p.m. A celebration of her life and faith will be held at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Syracuse on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bob Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Letart Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her last request was for donations be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28201-0001 so more people would come to know and adore her wonderful Lord and Savior. We ask that donations be made in her memory.
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides of Holzer Hospice for their loving and gentle care of our mother.
