Minnie Mae (Kitchen) McKenzie, 70, League City, Texas, formerly of Rutland, went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2010.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1939, in Logan, W.Va., daughter of Alice Browning Kitchen of Middleport, and the late Edgar “Jack” Kitchen. She was retired from Fairlanes Bowling Co. in South Houston, Texas. She was a member of Faith Assemblies, League City, Texas.

In addition to her father, she was preceded by her mother-in-law, Ollie Ghearing.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by: husband, Harold McKenzie, League City, Texas; son, Lloyd Calvin McKenzie, Texas; daughter, Crystal (Mike) Cosby, Dickinson, Texas; grandchildren, Devin, Dustin and Dion Cosby; father-in-law, John Ghearing, Rockport, Texas; brothers and sisters, Charles “Bill” Kitchen, Charlotte, NC, Mike Kitchen, El Paso, Texas, Kevin (Betty) Kitchen, Indian Trail, NC, Margaret (Charles) Sinclair, Pomeroy, Sharon Carman, Middleport, Lelia (Gar) Haggy, Middleport; special nephew, Jack Kitchen, Middleport.

A service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Officiating will be Ron Heath. Burial will be in Rutland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9 at the funeral home.
