Edward L. Murphy, 72, Tuppers Plains, Ohio, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.

He was born July 21, 1937, in Glouster, Ohio, to Mavin E. and Hazel M. Winn Murphy. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and enjoyed discussing history, especially the “old days” and visiting with friends.

He is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, Loretta Gaul Murphy; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and John Bostic of Beverly, Ohio; brothers, Robert Murphy and Gary Murphy of Reedsville, Ohio; a sister, Marty Williams of Coolville, Ohio; his special companion, Jessie; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David R. (Dick); and infant brother, Martin; and man’s best friend, Winston.

It was Ed’s wishes to be cremated and there will be no visitation or services.
