Several young people, ages 14-24, arrived Wednesday at the Meigs County Department of Job and Family Services to apply for summer jobs funded by $238,000 in state and federal funds received by the department for a summer youth employment program. The program will reimburse employers in the public sector (villages, school districts, county offices, etc.) for 100 percent of wages and fringes the young employees earn, making it a win-win for both employee and employer.
